Artist in Residence at The Experimental TV Center
Dok at controls ETC 2004 • The "Wobulator" ETC • Tomstir, Lu(x)z and alienresident ETC
Amoeba Technology has been invited to an ongoing artist in residence program at the wonderful Experimental Television Center in Owego, NY. We are in eternal gratitude to the center for recieving Us with warmth and support (thank you Sherry Miller Hocking, thank you Hank Rudolph).
The Center was founded in 1971, and since then it has pioneered in the building of generative audio and video machines, analog and early digital-analog hybrid systems, hardware control systems, and more. This has been a unique opportunity, for Us, to create sounds and images that we only dreamed of! We have found our tech-dream-heaven… and look forward to our next visit in late October.
As more material comes We will be progressing towards a full audiovisual live transformation of these experiments…

New York Video Festival at Lincoln Center — Screening and Live Video Performance
Shortly after our return to NYC, our friend Benton contacted Us to participate in a show he was organizing called 'Synaesthesiologists : Global Audiovisuals Now' which was taking place at The Walter Reade Theater at Lincoln Center. Amoeba screened a short audiovisual piece entitled 'Changes' (more on this piece and its publication coming out in December… ) and Lu(x)z was invited to do a live video set showing the best of our Experimental TV Center experiments.
This event was a great success thanks again to ETC who supported it, and thanks to Benton C. Bainbridge and David Last.
